Tuesday 24th September 2019 - THROUGH MY VIEWFINDER Warren Alani will present a wide selection of photos from his early days to the present. These will be: Architecture, Travel, Environment, Portraits, Sports, and Street Photography also including many award winning photos. In addition to this, Warren will be presenting photos of a subject that has very rarely been photographed or presented in any other photography club before.

Tuesday 1st October 2019 - MONOCHROME BEFORE FILM Ray Spence FRPS transports us to the Victorian era of Fox Talbot and Julia Margaret Cameron showing his own evocative portraits and still life images using the wet plate collodion process. He will demonstrate his hefty cameras and tripods, show framed and unframed prints as well as a Powerpoint presentation. Don't miss this fascinating evening.

Tuesday 15th October 2019 - THE CREATIVE POWER OF THE MONOCHROME IMAGE Simon Watkinson will cover all aspects of shooting black and white from start to finish. He will talk in depth about light that creates the mood suitable for monochrome subject matter in regards to Landscape and Portrait photography and with travel images. The true impact of removing colour creates images that are powerful and timeless. He will show in his own images examples of this light and the impact that black and white images have.

Tuesday 22nd October 2019 - WHERE I PHOTOGRAPH WILDLIFE IN THE UK Malcolm Hupman will present an evening of photographs of British birds and wildlife. Learn where to see them and where to go, with guidance on camera settings.

Tuesday 29th October 2019 - FROM SANDWELL TO INDIA Tai Chohan will cover wildlife in his local reserve, before venturing further afield to Wales and Lincolnshire. The second part of the evening will then focus on Tai's trips to India to photograph tigers.

Monday 11th November - NEW MEMBERS' EVENING Opportunity especially for new members to find out more about the Society, including the members' website, special interest groups, internal and external competitions, Flickr etc. All members welcome.

Tuesday 12th November 2019 - STUMBLING ABOUT IN THE DARK Robert Harvey will talk on astro photography and will show some stunning images of the night sky taken both in the UK and overseas. Drawing on his knowledge of astronomy, Robert will show that it is worthwhile planning ahead, having endless patience and needing luck with weather conditions. His talk should inspire you to try out astro photography yourself.

Tuesday 19th November 2019 - PHOTOGRAPHY AS FINE ART Nat Coalson ARPS. During this inspiring presentation you'll discover how to produce, exhibit and sell photography as fine art and high-quality interior decor products. Suitable for photographers working across all styles and genres.

Tuesday 26th November 2019 - 3rd CLUBMAN COMPETITION Subject for Advanced level - "Landscape". Judge: Chris Baldwin

Tuesday 3rd December 2019 - MY PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY Will Cheung FRPS has been involved in photography magazines, editing several leading titles over a period of 30 years and is currently editor of Photography News. His talk goes into his photographic philosophy and features a wide range of his project work, old and new, from street and portraits to urban and landscape, covering a variety of different approaches.

Tuesday 10th December 2019 - WORK EXPERIENCE AND A TYPICAL PROJECT Drew Forsyth is a commercial Dance, Theatre and Portrait photographer. Drew is a young photographer who is based in Manchester but is in demand all over the British Isles working in Photography and the Performing Arts. His work is very innovative and different from what we as a group typically see and this will be a great evening.

Tuesday 14th January 2020 - TRAVELLING LIGHT Dr Anne Sutcliffe FRPS will show some wonderful images from her travels.

Tuesday 21st January 2020 - LOCAL LANDSCAPES FOR ALL SEASONS Nathan Barry is a Midlands-based landscape photographer who looks for simple and elegant compositions and the best natural lighting that nature can provide. There's nothing special about Nathan's techniques or camera kit; nor does there need to be - it's the scene, composition and end result that count.

Tuesday 3rd March 2020 - PUSHING THE TECHNICAL AND ARTISTIC BOUNDARIES IN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY Paul Colley ARPS. Underwater photography. Paul bills himself as 'Energising conservation with award winning wildlife photography'. On that basis, we've all seen wildlife, but this is different and an evening that is certainly worth looking forward to.

Tuesday 7th April 2020 - VISIONS OF AMERICA Tony Gervis has travelled to every state in America at least twice, covering 117 national or state parks. He has run photo workshop in Bend, Oregon, concentrating on cowboys and western life with commissions from National Geographic and others. Tony is currently heavily involved in cruise lecturing and gives around twenty camera club presentations each year.

Tuesday 14th April 2020 - No meeting - Easter Tuesday 21st April 2020 - PICTURES ON A PAGE Paul Sanders. Photo journalism. Paul returns for a second time to Leamington. This lecture covers his time as Picture Editor of The Times.

Monday 11th May 2020 - ANNUAL EXHIBITION LAUNCH AND SOCIAL EVENING (date to be confirmed) The official opening of our Exhibition at All Saints' Church by the Mayor of Leamington will be followed by the annual awards presentation. This is a social evening for all members to end the season. Finger food and pay bar.
